After more than a year after giving birth the my daughter, I still have 40 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I feel beautiful as I am and very sexy most days with my extremely curvy behind and my 34 DDD ta-tas! The funny thing that I never saw coming in my twenties and teens was that I feel thinner and more secure now wearing a size 12 than I ever did when I was a size 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8. I am now a size 12 and feel sexy and confident every day.

Right now, I am a beautiful and confident women that happens to wear a size 12! Women can be beautiful in all shapes and sizes. Magazines, press, and even blogs make women feel like there is only one way to be beautiful and that usually involves a thigh gap and long blonde locks. Beauty is not about fitting into some mold or stereotype. It’s about being authentically human.

  1. I’m glad you are comfortable in your own skin. People can be so judgmental and make comments that really hurt. After constantly hearing comments demeaning others because of their looks or clothing choices I became very self conscious. Now I have a hard time being confident and I have to remember to love myself right where I am.

    • People can be really critical and as with any woman, I have dealt with that as well. I try my best to rise above it or completely remove the offenders from my life. If that is not possible, I try my best to point out what they are doing so that they are at least aware that their words hurt.

  2. I wish I could be comfortable! I’m a size 10 and had a baby 18 months ago…I keep going back and forth 15lbs… I’d love to be 140 pounds,…I’m 150-165 at the most…. I just feel gross.llthe funny thing is im 20 lbs smaller than before I got pregnant! I feel good until I see pictures of myself and then I think I’m disgusting…. I’d feel better if I toned up and lost even 15 lbs…. I just started a new job so mb that will help me lose bc I won’t be sitting, eating all day! But mb I can get some confidence from watching you! You look, awesome IMO

  3. Thank you so much for your honesty. I’ve been having some issues accepting my weight gain thanks to all the meds I am on for my Lupus. I’m a good size 10 (my normal size is a 6), more or less, depending on the manufacturer. I cannot wait for the day that I feel beautiful as I am.
