There is nothing more classic to me than navy blue stripes. When I saw this dress on sale on Shopbop the other day, I had to get it. The dress had a ton of my loves all in one dress. First, there are the stripes; then it’s a wrap dress by DVF! Wrap dresses look amazing on most people, but they work especially well on my “girls”!
I also figured out that wearing long pendant necklaces help elongate my neckline. It gives a clean line that dress the eye up and down minimizing the effects of the horizontal stripes. When I was a teenager, I think that was one of the main pieces of advice I took away from reading fashion magazines. It’s funny that I wouldn’t horizontal stripes when I was a size zero and now, I feel fabulous in horizontal stripes as a size 12. It’s all about perspective and never saying never, when it comes to fashion.
Carolee sent me this amazing necklace helping me pull this look together. I have been buying Carolee jewelry from Macy’s for years! They are amazing quality! I have every piece still in original condition in my jewelry box. Some of it was purchased in the 1990s. When they asked if they could send me a piece, I jumped at the chance!
