Must Try – Lifeway Kefir

I discovered Kefir earlier this year and fell in love with the taste and the health benefits! Lifeway Kefir is a smooth, tart, refreshing cousin of yogurt, often thought of as the “Champagne of Dairy.”  Lifeway Kefir contains 12 live and active Probiotic cultures that support the immune system and balance digestive health. It is naturally Gluten Free, 99% Lactose Free and contains no artificial sweeteners and is rich in Calcium. Lifeway also only uses milk that comes from cows that are not treated with pesticides, antibiotics, or synthetic growth hormones. The cows are grass fed and GMO free. I have recently started feeding it to my toddler instead of milk because of all the health benefits.

I found Lifeway Kefir at my local Winn Dixie in the specialty dairy area with the nice cheeses. There were a ton of different flavors of Kefir including: Lowfat Plain, Lowfat Strawberry and Lowfat Blueberry. I bought Lowfat Plain and Lowfat Raspberry. I also bought the some blueberries and raspberries to mix in with my cereal.

My breakfast is a bowl of cereal with Kefir instead of milk and some fruit on top. This was my first time trying Raspberry and I fell in love! I usually buy the plain and the blueberry.

I give my daughter the Kefir in smoothies with fruit. She love it so much and I feel great about giving it to her.

  2. I too recently got to try this product as part of a blogging campaign and I love the fruit flavored smoothies. My youngest has a milk sensitivity so this works well for him also.

  7. I have never tried kefir actually. Sounds like this would be great for me especially since I can use probiotics for my immune system. It’s not the greatest.

  8. That looks really good. I haven’t tried it yet, but will look for it the next time I’m at the grocery store. I usually get my probiotics from yogurt, but I like this better. It’s more versatile.
