Don’t Kill the Magic is a new album by Magic! It is a follow up to their debut single, Rude. You know you have heard it, and I am sure it is stuck in your head just like it is stuck in mine right now. It is a much-needed improvement over the kid songs that are normally stuck in there.
I watched the awesome intimate performance of Magic on Walmart’s Soundcheck platform. This month they are working with artist-of-the-month, Magic! to promote their new album. I love how up close and personal the performance is. It is way better than a concert because you get to super close. It does not feel manufactured like some music videos. You feel like you are getting up close and personal with Magic! You even get to check out the band’s manly stubble! 🙂
I love that their interview. I love their sound, and it is cool to learn about how they came together and how they come up the ideas for their songs. They call their music style Pop Soul Reggae Rock! They suspect that the sound will evolve because each one of them likes a different type of music. It ranges from Bob Marley to 60s bands.

The lead guitarist, Mark does an amazing solo in ‘Let Your Hair Down.’ The band says the fans have been singing every song on their tours. This is an awesome start for Magic! and I cannot wait to see where they go with their next album. Until then, I will be singing along to their current album, ‘Don’t Kill the Magic.’
